Description

What do you get when you have plenty of yarn, a whole mess of orange doll hair, and a crapload of stuff to procrastinate on?
Well, to put it in short: this.

I just sort of went on a sewing/crocheting craze all of a sudden, and when I went to this amazing fabric store downtown and found all that hair, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it.

I love Merida! She's adorable, she's strong, and she has an awesome accent! Well, I haven't seen Brave yet, but I've heard great things about it, so I'll be seeing it in the near future.

Anyway, I just made this with Bernat Super Saver yarn, polyester stuffing, 6mm plastic eyes, orange curly doll hair, and pipecleaners for the arms, legs, and bow. Credit for the basic pattern goes to this person over here [link] but I made the cape, bow, etc myself without a pattern. I didn't write down a pattern for these, but they're not hard to figure out to do yourself.

Unfortunatley, she isn't for sale, but she's not hard to make, either, so if you can crochet, you can make one of your own.

Merida belongs to Disney/Pixar.

EDIT: Wow, 80 favourites? O_o
Thank you all!
